the consolation...after searching and searching for homes, being denied on several applications (we have superb credit >740, but with the home still on our balance sheet in oregon, some shied away from us) we found a place. we wanted good schools naturally, i wanted a decent commute to work, and we wanted reasonable rent (tough combo in a place like san diego). so why is this a consolation prize?? well...we live HERE!!!

i actually jog on the beach several times a week. this shot is a 5 minute walk from my front door...really. so should the winter bug b
ite one of you, give us a call and come by for a visit. it will do you some good, and while we'll likely have tons of boxes around still, the ocean breeze will do you fine (and we might put you to work).BTW, lest you think we are paying through the nose for this place, it ended up being about $2-400 cheaper then places closer to work, as well as those in the area. and, the commuter train stop is a 5 minute walk away, behind the development. i couldn't say no to that (worked a deal directly with owner).
work is better. i've developed some rapport with my coworkers, and building some trust w/ management. it has it's rough moments, but where doesn't. honestly, our biggest head-ache is selling our home in portland. so if anybody you know wants a home in portland, send them my way!!!
i can't resist the urge to tell everyone about my dear daughter. it's so fun having a little girl. she cries and wakes us up almost every night still, but it's hard to not love that cutie.
here's the most recent photo's for fun. ysella, and oceanside pier last sunday. we love to go for walks or drives, so this was about 10 minutes from our house.
we also went to the bay area for jubie's dad's b-day. it was fun being closer to join for a change. we've missed so many of these over the years. we took some family pictures, which we've not done in a while (actually, it was my camera on the front of or car, on auto-shot).
for now, we're well, hoping to sell, and finally settling. savings has proven a life saver right now. may you all enjoy family during thanksgiving. we'll likely be alone, but thinking of everyone.

Continue what you are doing, family first.
You are an awesome family and I wish you all the best in the world.
